Compiled by Paul Sidore, Summer 1982 Recorded by Paul, Summer 1981 /January 1982

Whenever Paul would ask Mike what he wanted for his birthday, Mike would always answer, "A red seven." So Paul gave him this tape one day, and a picture of a red “7" (which now adorns the cover).

Side One consists of Mike & Paul doing impromptu music from one day in Summer of '81 in the Benwood front room, including some rare guitar-playing from Mike. (I was there, too, but otherwise occupied.)

Side Two is more improv, from January 1982 in Clayton, with Steve Sidore providing bass. There are also a couple of other odd bits from Summer of '81: a Miller beer commercial with me & Danny from Danny's front room on Gragmont, and the 2001 song by Mike & Paul in the Benwood garage, during the days when they almost had a real band with Trippi & Geri Rudd and Steve Sidore.

When this record came out, it was just a quick goofy project to me, but now it stands as the one major example of Mike & Paul's improvisation talents, and it is very stupid and very funny. Totally immature, and worth hearing again.
